It's the perfect medium of tool watch and a dress watch. I've grown to not be concerned about scratches on the PCLs. The watch itself is pretty tough and has taken some day to day abuse with no issues. Love the GMT feature as well - I've traveled pretty regularly with it. My only problem now is that I'm looking into purchasing another watch now. If I have to get my GMT serviced I'd definitely need something else. I'm looking at a DJII with fluted bezel or going with the Breitling Transocean day-date.

Beautiful watch, I am super jealous. The more I look at Rolex, the more I keep getting drawn in. I think the GMT is arguably one of the best modern Rolex's out there. Wear it in the best of health, and post some more pictures when you get the chance!

On occasion. You do have a slick looking PAM though!

Haha I am sure! I could see the DJ being a very comforting watch. I feel that it is never really out of place. It seems very versatile.

it really is/was. i had the DJ right before they made the updates. the bracelet/clasp was on the the wimpy side compared to other watches in that price point, but it really was a super versatile and supremely confortable and sublime watch. i miss my baby. i fear i will never get her back.

Thinking about a DJ 16200. Not a fan of the jubilee bracelet and the PCLs on the 116200.
Either that, or an Explorer I.

Just need a clean and simple steel sports watch for everyday wear.

Interesting indeed. I wondered if it might be something like that. Odd to see him disappear like he did.

Unfortunate as well. I am not surprised though. TPP has become incredibly big, and I have noticed more and more frequently that it is a bit of a platform for advertisements and press releases.

I find the Milgauss oddly pretty, in an understated, purposeful kind of way. The lack of a bezel makes it a but more subtle, and unless you get the green glass, there's nothing but the little detail of the second hand to make it at all unusual.

As a steel dress watch that's rugged (and anti- magnetic!), it seems like a pretty good option.

You down with TPP??/ Yeah, you know me!

I used to post on the purists way back when. Way before it was "pro" anything, when people like Lord Arran used to go there and shoot the ****, post pics etc, when the site owner (tom?) would send one of his own watches (Pateks etc) to get reviewed by posters. But then they started getting cozy with watchmakers and you could tell where it was going. I remember when Roger DuBois came on the scene and everyone loved those funky cases he started with. Then he did those gaudy sport and diamond encrusted things, people called him out for it and mgmt. at thepurists did not take kindly to that as he had become a "friend" of the site. On the one hand sites obviously need money to keep going but on the other, it seems that once that money starts coming in, the number one priority is how to increase the inflows, not how to make a better forum.
