not sure they are under appreciated, but certainly not often talked about or seen in the wild, but fantastic watches with a very cool brand/owner history. very nice that one.

In a few posts several hundred pages back I wrote that I couldn't see myself wearing Patek cufflinks. Then again I also once said I hated the Nautilus. As usual after handling the darn things and seeing them in the flesh, the story changes.

Willpower eroding.............

Come close more than once to getting Breguet cuff links. I doubt I will be able to hold out forever.

Agreed. Lang is a cool guy and I like his stuff. Looked at the Opus Squelette a couple of times. Really like that one.

Breguet cufflinks are great looking. I like the ones that use pieces of dials, although, I'm guessing its a way of using up parts of dials that were imperfect? The other reason I like the Breguet links is that they Patek ones seem reasonably priced

Those were the first one I saw, at the Breguet boutique in NY. But then I saw the ones that looked like parts on an enameled dial... Yum

That's gorgeous. I like the lapis lazuli one too. When those voices speak...

Your public await a new vicarious Frillfrenzy. Might I also remind you that you do not currently own a dive watch. Just saying.

I'm looking for something a bit specific and would love any help or guidance. I want to buy myself a vintage 5513 or 5512 Sub from my birth year ('89, I'm a child), but am having trouble sourcing besides eBay members with little feedback. Anyone know anyone in the NYC / Philadelphia area who specializes in vintage Rolex? I'd ideally like to inspect in person before buying it and would most likely pay cash.

Thanks, and apologies if this sort of thing isn't allowed here!

Have any of you used "polywatch" on your acrylic crystals and if so have any pointers for me before i give it a go. My 1601 DJ has been in dire need of a scratch removal and now that school has slowed down for the holidays i'd like to spend some time on it.

Also as an aside, is it possible to change my SF username? I didn't anticipate actually being on the forums much when i joined a year ago and so i just used my name but now that I'm hooked on TWAT (

) id like to change it to something more "conversational" if possible.

I suspect that we are going to start the year right. Stay tuned... Dive watch? Thought I had that covered...
