2nd that, they are mostly china made hype and they aren't worth much on the 2nd market better to go with Sunnto, better quality period!

Just got her this morning. I was initially apprehensive about going with a 40mm watch, but the Sub-C definitely wears much larger and with my flat 7" wrist, it's quite literally a perfect fit. To be honest, I'm actually still getting used to the heft (mind you I've been watch-less for 2 or so years so...). Overall, the fit and finish is impeccable and personally speaking, I find the cerachrome bezel to be absolutely stunning in person. I think this watch is a great blend of fashion and function, and now that I own one I can understand why the Submariner is arguably one of the most iconic watches of all time. Hopefully I can add an LV in the next 6 months.

Cheers!

Looks like a perfect fit. Its a watch that will never go out of style. Enjoy it!!!
Excellent choice, Congrats.

By the way, this is the LV version that I highly recommend.

Not nearly the heft, but in my opinion the much better choice.
+1...but I may be a bit biased as an owner! I also prefer the LV to LVc.

The green dial of the LV c is nice...but I'm not of fan of the shade of green that the ceramic bezel is, its too light in color and too flat looking in terms of color. I wish it were a deeper, darker color.
Spot-friggin-on, especially #7.

Bored yet? Not me.

Sorry for the facetious post. Long day spent with family. On topic, wearing 3970 today. Didn't get a decent wrist shot because I was too busy chasing after the kids, so a stock photo will have to do.

Frills, in the last 2 photos... I feel like I should lend Kate a hand

The 3970J is lovely. I love the heft of platinum, but sometimes a little warmth from YG is nice too!
bawlin - love that Sub C - it's a very strong contender for my next watch. I am also drawn to the green dial / green bezel version as I am craving some colour in the rotation, but I'm somewhat hesitant about my long term affection for something that bold. The GMT II C with the blue/black ceramic bezel is also on the radar, as is the blue dial DJII (still trying to comprehend all the hate for that line). Anyway, congrats and enjoy your new piece.
I like the green dial of the Sub LVc...its the bezel that I dislike. I do think the blue/black GMTC is a hot looking watch. As for the DJII and the DDII....the proportions look wrong. The bezel and case look bloated. The standard DJ is classic in size and proportions. A good balance between sport and dress...while the DJII and DDII look bulbous and distorted. I see the DJII as a lazy effort to be part of the big watch band wagon.
I pretty much exclusively lurk in this thread, but to me, the discussions herein are fantastic, as are the pics posted.

P.S I don't mind the Kate Upton pics either, not at all.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing a photo. Its been a while since I've seen one of those.
Absolutely stunning, although I wish it used a square or rectangular movement rather than just using their existing round stock for that piece. It would have made it just a bit more special and would have been cool with an exhibition back.

Good night.
The JDN is very nice. A friend of money has 1 in rose gold.

This is another reason I like the LV instead of the LVC. If I ever get tired of the green bezel I can always swap it out for the black bezel. Even though Rolex maintains a tight control on parts the black bezel is a lot easier to get than the green bezel. I was able to get a black bezel at the same time I purchased my watch, I just haven't found the switch necessary as of yet. I really like the green bezel.

The Maxi dial is a big plus on this older version also.

I haven't seen an LV and LVc next to each other but I really like the LVc on its own. The green is over the top bright though as others have noted. I love the dial on it though...how would that look with a black bezel? I'd assume not the best but always nice to wonder.

I don't think it would look good with a black bezel at all. With the LVC, you embrace your inner Kermit or you don't. I am drawn to it simply because I am craving a bit of colour in the lineup and I think the green dial is just gorgeous. But I'm more tempted to scratch that particular itch with something much less expensive - that way if I tire of it, it's no big deal. Still, I'd pretty much rule the watch univers on St. Patrick's Day with that thing.

I think if you buy right, you'll be safe with the LVc. I saw a mint preowned model in Calgary go for $7,500. I can't imagine pricing falling much lower than that, so you could comfortably wear the watch for a few months or a year or whatever and sell it for pretty much what you paid for it. The same can't be said for the BLNR, where there's two for sale in Canada right now at under MSRP and you don't have to pay tax, meaning you're saving upwards of $1,000 depending on your province. I suspect in a year or so, BLNR prices will be in the $8,xxx range.
