RM is truly the best thing that happened to watches from the design stand point. That watch is amazing.

That watch's major sin is not that it's ugly; it's that it's not immediately recognizable as an RM. Dropping that much coin on a watch is like buying a piece of contemporary art. If you own a Hirst or a Koons, you want everybody to know you own a Hirst or a Koons.

That watch conveniently comes with an Ed Hardy T-shirt that says "Richard Mille" with a giant red arrow point to the left wrist. Right wrist variant not available...

I don't know - apart from the spirit level and the puritabs, it looks an awful lot like the watches that were advertised in Soldier of Fortune magazine or sold at my local army disposals store a quarter of a century ago...

What most people don't get about RM is the fact that his watches intent to shock and anger the masses that can never afford them. To make a G-shock on steroids , purely mechanical watch with amazing details finish and innovative mechanical features is a biggest artistic statement and general **** YOU to the stale sad industry populated by likes of Rolexes, Omegas and Pateks who competely lack imagination.

If it's unaffordable it must be ugly.

Are you two seriously arguing that the actual purchasers of this Mille middle finger will do so out of some sort of elevated sensibility?

I think the bolts in his watches are a cool design. I don't care for the appearance of his watches, but I'm not shocked or angered by them. If they make someone else happy great. I'd just rather own something else at that kind of price point.
