Thanks man. While I was debating between the Cartier tank or reverso, the thickness def came up. But this blue dial with the rose gold case just spoke to me. It is “relatively” still on the thinner side compared to the other sports watches I own. I’ll for sure enjoy wearing it.

On the side note, just for fun, I tried on the black enamel tiger reverso. Supposedly they enamel the whole case and chiseled the tiger out of the gold case. Wild craftsmanship on this tiny thing!

You're very welcome. I think JLC's blue dials are really beautiful and I'd rather have a Reverso with a blue dial than the Reverso with the enamel tiger. While I appreciate the artistry, I don't love the tiger and I might tire of it after a while.
Just what every good Jewish boy needs, a good Christmas watch that he got preowned for cheap. View attachment 2303175

Anyone have experience selling on Chrono24 (or other similar online marketplaces/brokers)? I have a couple watches I want to sell to free up cash for something else. Expected gross sales would total less than $10k. I have purchased on Chrono24 and had a smooth experience. I'm wondering if the experience is similar for an individual private seller (i.e., not a gray dealer). I think the commission there is 6.5%, and they hold funds in escrow until delivery is confirmed.

Looking to maximize what I keep from the transaction, but I think all things being (mostly) equal, I value convenience more than total monetary return.

When not joining Alina Habba on their joint representation cases, I think that @Newcomer is writing for Hodinkee.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
