Makes sense then. My brother teaches at UBC and I’ve been to Vancouver a lot, being within a short flight or a long drive from there. The second capital for Chinese food in Canada.

Oh awesome. I grew up around UBC and my brother went went there. PM next time you're here and we can ***** about Google SERPs lol.

I definitely like being back here a lot. Down ~12 - 15 lbs now since I moved back just b/c of the great clean food options when eating out, walkability and being a ~3 min walk from the gym.

The market is what the market is. I was willing to pay the premium for the 1931 because I just liked it a lot more than the current production models. I also suspect that if JLC brought something similar back to production, they’d charge a similar premium given how fast they have been jacking prices lately. It’s also not a watch I’ll ever sell so if it does loose some value I don’t care.
yeah its not a watch i want to sell its more a watch i want to acquire at a reasonable price

There were several, slightly different releases of the 1931, one with syringe hands and other with sword hands. Some are more rare than the others. But they were all hard to get from the beginning due to limited quantities and the prices have been rising steadily over the years.

I know who Jean Arnault/the Arnault family is, but I am a little thrown by the references to him being a comedian... Maybe it's just early and I'm not getting it, but that is really him in those two public freakouts, no?

Anyway, the interaction with the bouncer...

"Do you know who my dad is?"

"Why? Your mama never told you?"

I mean...he should have just walked away in defeat at that point. Yikes.

I honestly have no idea, and I'm just becoming more confused.

I have read about that family before, and based on what I've read I would be surprised if that really was him, but I'm no expert.

i'll go ahead and apologize to this thread . i am sorry .

i'm pretty confident that is a comedy bit and not arnault . I think the name was just to troll the Algo .

in fairness it's pretty funny ( when his friend tries to calm him down ' let's go to a better club ' lolol ) but i'm not trying to mess up this threak with silliness . I didn't mean to besmirch anybody and i promise to keep my sh!tposting benign going forward .

🥰 thanks for putting up with me everybody
