The amount of ads on this page are making this site unworkable on a phone. I can't see anything. Come on, man.
PC is much better ;) .

Is 15407st really being discontinued? IMO the double balance architecture looks way better than any other skeletonized APs.

There's one right by me that I might have to pull the trigger on if it really is being discontinued.

Love the dial and that it's titanium. The size kills it for me, but it looks great on you. Enjoy it!

thank you. Its admittedly a large watch but it makes me happy and I agree its not out of proportion with my wrist

I also own the 43mm ti bathyscaphe and interestingly this wears about the same because of the shortened lugs, although this is thicker.

Did you try it on the other wrist? Usually wear my watch on the left wrist too, but as I am a lefty I would probably wear this one on the right, and quickly get used to it!

One month to go…
Three weeks and three days, to be precise

38 meetings, 2 dinners, 4 cocktail parties and 2 CEO interviews in 4 days - I am getting way too old for this sh1t

Went to a meet up tonight and my friend brought this gorgeous Voutilainen out with him. I have one on order but have never seen one before…seeing this definitely makes me feel I made the right decision
smile

Two big surprises for me:

1. How well it wears. The lugs also look much better than pictures convey. Once it’s on the wrist it really all comes together nicely. Totally unexpected.

2. Seeing the escapement in person was great too and the giant balance. It really slaps you in the face in the best way possible.

Then as expected, the finishing, hands, guilloche etc was all just as good as the macros I’ve seen posted…

Sorry about my pics. We were at a dark-ish bar without optimal watch guy lighting lol

You need to go to a pub called the Black Eagle... there, a red headed lady that reminds you of your youth will feed you sandwiches and wine, and ask you why you didn't learn to dance, when you've learnt so seriously everything else, and maybe you should go sit on that bench over there and sleep. She won't tell you her name this time, cos you didn't ask. Then your real life can begin...

No, I haven't tried that. I actually like it on my left wrist, as the crown never rubs against the back of my hand (which can happen with some sports watches). The only disadvantage to wearing it on my left wrist is I can't see the date at a glance. It is often obscured by my shirt cuff even if I extend my arm a bit to get it out from under my cuff. Still, I like this watch a lot. Cheers!

Stunning watch! Amazing movement, I like the dial, and hands...but I have to say, I don't love the font or design of the Arabic numerals. They look so bland or cookie cutter. That's always been an issue for me with some of the JLCs with Arabic numerals...I don't like the font they normally use for Arabic numerals.

Hmmm....I think I saw this in an old Harrison Ford movie called "Patriot Games." It doesn't end so well for the poor bloke who meets the redhead in the pub. They go up to a hotel room and when he thinks he is going to get some....

Spoiler......She pulls out a gun with a silencer and gives him a 9mm lobotomy.

Hopefully, it ends better for our friend James! :rotflmao:

Word on the block is that the new watch released by Patek will be a tonneau-shaped sports watch dubbed the Cubitus. There is very little that will make me happier than that, purely from a lulz perspective.
