Let me rephrase: how many have the scratch AND the permission? Ms. Big A would f'ing murder me if I bought another watch, and she's pretty chill... if you've been here a really long time, you already know :D
Shoot, if you can get it for retail, I can get permission ?

Blue dial on bracelet, I think more people would magically come up with the money.
Oof. I already feel a little weird walking around with the 5711 on now that they are north of $100K. I mean if you had that in cash in a backpack, you'd be paranoid as hell right? Sure 99% of people aren't going to clock the watch but it only takes one especially discriminating mugger ...

I'd take that first one every time over a 5726. Not even close.
Nicer watch but not something you could trade for a car and a bunch of gasoline in the Balkans or Africa or something like that. I like watches that have worldwide recognized intrinsic value, which pretty much means Rolex and Patek

I don't buy ugly 6 figure watches in case I need to trade for a car and gas.

I love it when the forum helps each other. Foo, why not also go for a Naoya Hida ( ) , Urban Jürgensen ( ) or Journe ( )?

I’m not into Naoya Hida. $15K+ for a steel watch powered by a de-contented Valjoux 7750 is not exactly my idea of worthwhile watchmaking. All the black polishing in the world can’t make that price make sense.

UJ is not my style.

Love Journe, but loved Journe much more 10 years ago. The newer models are all less interesting and attractive than the older ones.

But most importantly, none of the above serve the same sporty/casual function as a Nautilus.
