Compared to the recipe photo, I didn’t achieve that beautiful golden brown color. Nevertheless, ‘twas excellent.

Karaage is poor people's chicken. The Ginza middle class have chicken tempura before browsing Komehyo for the second hand Birkins they can't get an allocation for without buying leather goods of dubious taste but extreme discussion potential at the manufacturer's.

I'm not even going to discuss the kind of gaijin resident that suggests burgers (burgers!) when their sockpuppet watch thread buddy that doesn't ever post anything happens to be digitally visiting their hood.

:rotflmao: @brax NYC is nothing it's been there done that! Mine has been to DC, Chicago, Monaco, Nice, Canada, Germany, Austria etc. What can I say, no place seemed to have the dubious distinction of having the type of skilled pick pockets as Italy (although, I'm sure each place has its fair share of scoundrels). That being said, regardless of the reputation for pick pockets, the people in Italy were so much nicer and made the trip far more enjoyable than the people we met in Germany, Austria, or Canada.
At least we can agree that Explorer II’s have the most fun. ExII enjoying a cocktail at Modern before catching Sunset Boulevard on Broadway.

Visible Pick Stitching on Lapels and Pockets

  • It’s a mark of quality and craftsmanship

  • I don’t like visible stitching

  • Doesn’t matter to me
