Hi!
Long time lurker here, made an account specifically for this.
Are we talking about the grey POW raglan from the current season, bought from the Drakes website (this one)? If yes, probably the only thing that has kept me from buying so far was the lack of a ticket pocket, so I might have to reconsider...
Yes, that’s the one. It’s hanging on the back of my office door as we speak

Thanks for the reply. Last question and given the emphasis to size down would you say size 40 would fit me if size 40 in chore coat is tight in the armpits? I compared the two size guides but would love to get anecdotal data if possible
I’m 42 in chore and 40 in game blazer and the 40 coat fits perfectly with a quite generous pullover. As you might wear your coat over a shirt or light jumper, I would go for a 38

I haven't gone (yet, may go later today) but that was posted on another forum. wondering whether anyone's gone and can report in, as far as what they've stocked?

I'm generally sample sale-averse since the inevitable crowds and fierce competitiveness tends to result in me checking my critical thinking skills at the door and buying a bunch of stuff in slightly off sizes and weird colors that I regret buying once I get home, but I had an appointment two blocks away from this one so I stopped in and was pleasantly surprised by the stock, especially the Canal St.-exclusive summer tailoring from earlier this year, which was available in decent size runs. I picked up a tailored jacket I passed on this summer, which made the whole endeavor worthwhile.

They also had good stock of recent tailored tweed jackets (none in my size, alas) and also a fair assortment of their perennial knitwear (including shawl collar cardigans) and outerwear in useful colors, tons of shirts and ties, the lightweight coverall in good size coverage, plus the usual blizzard of fleeces. Plenty of Games tailoring in corduroy. Tailored trousers in good fabrics (seemingly from pre-Covid years and good for those who like a slimmer cut, caveat emptor for those who don't). Didn't see much suede outerwear or any jungle jackets. Didn't see any raglans. Some decent chore jackets, Games tunics, etc.

Damn, guess I'll have to stop by then. Any chance of some pics of your picks-ups?

I was also pleasantly surprised by the selection, although as expected it was packed and a bit frenzied in there. Was expecting not to get anything and ended up with an olive tweed games jacket, striped rugby, a couple pairs of socks, and a fair isle scarf.

Does anyone know what's the deal with the Mk.VII sizing?
Looking here and the 34 fits like a big 36, 36 like a 38, etc.. is it just super oversized?

I have that one and it basically fits comparably to my Mk. Is and Mk. IIs in lighter cloths. Maybe a touch more generous (which I'd think you'd want in a tweed), but definitely not close to a full size larger.
