Does anyone know if the rust or brown suede jackets bleed? I have both the ecru jeans and ecru courdoury pants but not sure if the jackets will bleed onto them

Some reports of yes -
The rust suede unlined version bleeds onto pale fabrics. Really annoying, especially for things that get washed less frequently like wool sweaters.

Anyone found a solution? Was thinking rubbing the interior down with a stiff suede brush could help?
I found the same with the ones I returned. Parts of the white garment bag Mr. Porter uses for shipping were stained, in fact. Simon Crompton made reference to this last year and brought it to Drake's attention: https://www.permanentstyle.com/2021/04/spring-summer-top-10-chores-shirts-and-sweats.html
I'll wear test mine next week when the temperature drops. Got it in December and still have yet to wear it out of the apartment

The rust does bleed. I ended up selling mine (after it stained my ecru Drake's shetland...) and buying the the blanket lined version instead. You might consider having your jacket lined with bemberg or something. If you have enough room for a lining, that is.

As quoted above yes, but pretty minor. I haven't bothered to do anything about it as I wash shirts, jeans etc regularly and they have come out fine. I wouldn't worry about jeans and pants but would be cautious with a good quality neutral tone knit if you find these a pain to wash.

Hey there,

I can help here. The navy moleskin is a slightly heavier weight than that produced by Vetra. It's definitely too hot for summer but would work for Spring. I wouldn't wear it any day hotter than about 15 degrees. I'd say it's a mid-weight. It's very beautiful and feels amazing in the hand.

The cotton twill is slightly lighter in weight and is probably better suited to spring and very early summer. It's light to medium weight. The cotton is lovely but it's not as nice or as, 'special' as the Moleskin. But if you want something more versatile in terms of wear (temperature-wise) then this is the better bet.

I know you say you want a chore jacket. I've been obsessed with Drake's chores. However, I've recently begun to realise that their Games Blazers come in great fabrics and have a similar albeit smarter look to the chore. But the Games blazer still has that workwear feel. The canvas Games Blazer in navy is gorgeous and the cotton/linen Games is fantastic, pretty light-weight and perfect for spring into summer.

Hope that helps,

J

Thank you very much for your precise answer.
Very helpful.
I wear a lot of Games blazer, almost every day, and I want more casual outfit.
Your answer pushes me to choose Moleskin. I will buy a 100% linen for summer.

Do you mainly wear them as separates? I have 2 "suits" one in the ripstop fabric and the other in the cotton/linen. Wondering if I'd get more use out of both if I wore them as separates
