I know, I saw some in your post about the visit and got excited. Thanks

Although there are plenty of Drake's fabrics floating around Adamley, the ones I posted aren't theirs, I'm guessing that's why I was able to see them.

From what I understand, Drake's take a design and have colours put in, then their logo and then it's exclusively theirs. Technically, I could use their design (since it is just a design from the Adamley archives), but I don't see a point in just copying their stuff.

I would literally need a week in Adamley and I'm sure I could come out with some absolute gems that haven't been seen by anyone yet..

Yes it is a permanent thing, I think it is in place of the sample sales they have every now and then. Also, since they just got the new building, it is just part of that as opposed to having to rent a place every now and then. Makes sense to me....

I didn't see the prices on everything but the ties were £65, cashmere scarves were £125 and there sport coats were around £650...

The items there are definitely from a few seasons ago, but there are a few basic items there that you'll see every season.

I think it's definitely worth stopping by.

Thanks!

I'll make a point of stopping by.

There was a great Drake's sale last year at CHCM here in NYC - I think it was in early December. I ran into the owner at the MRket trade show at the Javits Center about a month later and he said CHCM would be having the sale again - I should probably drop by to see if that's still the case. He received a 20-30 boxes of items, but things might have changed now that Drake's has opened its own factory shop recently.

If I recall correctly, prices were better than any I've seen at any other Drake's sale. One of my favorite jackets is the chocolate brown cashmere sportsjacket that I picked up for about $350. I also flipped quite a few of the unicorn squares to SF members.

What do you guys think of their new site? It may be more customer friendly/efficient but i find it MUCH less elegant and almost amateurish in appearance. Hopefully they will tweak it some more.

Looks like a ****** Tumblr site.

Drakes are pretty much unrivalled… Treated myself to this shantung and I am delighted with service and product. Thumbs up to Drakes.

How sexy is the box and packaging! I've kept mine.

Drake's is great, but Vanda is definitely giving the brand a run for its money.

It's all good you're right. I've not yet visited the new place so we may go before Christmas. Looking forward to that.
