I’m at a bay st law firm, we’re expected to be in 2-3 days a week but it looks emptier than that. Still, our ethos apparently calls for in person work so the management is trying to encourage more people to come in, so far carrots only, no sticks.

I expect a mass exodus if people are forced to return 2-3 times a week. I'm at a government agency and the organization has reduced the HQ space by about 75% and nobody is forced to work in person. Except the staff lawyers and paralegals directly working at the courthouses.

I WFH unless in trial or arguing an appeal. Some clients I meet in person. I will also likely go in once a week to mentor the student.

Exodus from law firms? Well, only if other law firms of comparable stature break ranks. Otherwise, where would all the lawyers (or support staff) go? And in my experience, the big bay st firms tend to move shoulder to shoulder. So, I think hybrid will stay at 2-3 days a week. Still, imho, a huge improvement over pre-Covid times when everyone was expected to be in 100% of the time.

Not related to the cut, but I had a horrible experience at Suitsupply. Just don't rely on getting any knowledgeable advice if you go to the store.

I also had a horrible experience in the sidewalk surrounding Suitsupply, because I was an accidental passer-by during what I assume was a dispute between the store manager and an irate customer. A dispute that was unlike any ordinary dispute between irate customer and steadfast store manager.
When did this happen? Was this recent or a while back?

The incident? maybe a year ago. I was a passerby on the street.

I only went to that store twice, 2017 and 2019, so I'm no expert on what goes on in that store.

I'm usually far more interested in what's going on next door, and the fine people who sit smoking on that bench in front of the store next door. :eek:

so you have very little or even no experience buying from there and you are assuming a few things about what you saw happen outside as you walked by? Therefore SuSu is "horrible" - Is this correct?

If you work in the store, I knoww rain water and snow are excellent cleaners, but you should still get a proper disinfection done of the front stairwell, staircase and that balcony-like thing, and also get a sanitation inspection clearance by Public Health Ontario.

Like any store, the experience will vary greatly. I had a bad experience at Tom Ford NY once. But then a great one a few days later.

Same with Harry Rosen, Holts, etc...

umm they don't vary "greatly" in reality. Stores sell products and most people are dreamers and wishers. You either make a purchase or you don't. On top of that, you have a whole slew of iGent types who wanna prove a moot point about their knowledge of clothing vs the staff's knowledge of the same - who gives a ****?? AND top of all that is the emotional state of people who wanna feel catered to and coddled while NOT making a purchase and then will post about how terrible their experience was at XYZ retailer ("avoid at all costs!").
