Fitters model try on tomorrow. Wish me luck.

One can only hope that "luck" has no part of it.

But I wish you good results and a pleasant experience. Remember...mindful feedback--that's the key

Jesper...and others...may have a different take, but IMO, if the waist is narrower than the insole the vamp along the edges of the waist is put in jeopardy. Unnecessarily so, IMO.

If the customer steps on a rock, a branch, the curb, the runningboard of his automobile, or the footpeg on his Royal Enfield, just the smallest amount off center the weight of the foot will push the insole (and the vamp) into that protrusion and damage the leather.

FWIW...

Cross post from the Japanese shoe thread: Picked up a new pair from Yohei Fukuda today, came out really nice and the fitting is getting close to perfect now. Some pics:

All slip on?
Some are traditional slip ones, most are the side gussetted "lazyman" design. Comfort is supreme. All I need now is a specialist Patina artist to add some beauty when I want my future commissions to have different coloring. Yet, I have been pleased with what burnishing and antiquing work Clifford has done...it's just that I want more!
