If you have a finished jacket with surgeons cuffs, is it possible to taper the sleeve so the sleeve opening is smaller?
Hi guys - is anyone able to give a critique of whether this shirt looks too tight, and if so, how should it be fixed?
Really can't help with iphone pics but if the shirt is too tight , well it's not like a suit where it can be let out.
It's a MTM shirt and I'm about to go back to the tailor to have a look, but just want to be sure I'm not being paranoid. The shirt feels a bit too tight (like touching against the skin regularly) in the chest and back shoulder/deltoid areas - it's fine when I'm standing but when I start moving in an office-work range motion, it starts feeling tight.
From looking in the mirror, it feels like they already pull a bit too much on the buttons, but again maybe I'm just imagining things. I want to go for a slim fit but just not sure if this is too slim.
Appreciate your thoughts, thanks very much.
Can any tailors chime in please? Take the time to get proper pics. Previous poster was correct that this thread has a greater demand for feedback than supply. Hard to keep up with it. Even worse if not impossible is trying to analyze iPhone selfies. Find a friend and get a few normal shots taken. I just received my jacket from the tailor to shorten the sleeves and take in the waist. Now, i'm not one of these young kids who like the waist suppression to touch their body with wrinkled arms and etc but I do like my jacket to fit me. Do you think I need more waist suppression? Also, do the arms look somewhat baggy? If I was to bring this back into my tailor and ask him to re-do it, is this a faux paus? Oh, please excuse the sloppy placement of my square ... I quickly plopped it into the pocket Cheers,
Not by much and it is a pretty big job sometimes. If you can live with the sleeve width then leave it.
Jacket is too short and because of that the button stance is quite high. The jacket is too tight across the chest and is so constricted that the front quarters are inverting using the buttoning point as a hinge. This is not acceptable for good fit. Also not really fixable in that jacket
