Those look like Cognac. Ruby Red is a lot more red. Cognac always has the red tones in direct sunlight but looks more brown in low light.

Yes, but there is something very different about the nuances of this pair. I can't put my finger on it...for now....

For the record, this is my 6th pair of Carmina Cognac Cordovans and they are radically different from all the rest...

Don't get me wrong, these are very beautiful...my wife simply adores them.
