in my experience, Chrysalis has such a charming customer service that it makes a snotty Parisian waiter feel like a newly trained, giddy Singapore Airlines stewardess!

Care to elaborate a bit more about your customer service experience?

I guess it depends a bit on how loose you would like them to. AFAIK they are a little slimmer than traditional for a balmacaan, but not slim enough that I would endorse sizing up, unless you like a very slouchy fit. I am 5'7", 170, athletic(ish) and typically wear a 40S in most jackets, or a M in shirts and such. 40 in Drakes chore coats if that helps.

I took a 4/M in these coats. I have had 3 of the PSxPWVC collabs: currently own the one in your pic and the tweed DB overcoat released last year. Hoping to buy one of the navy ones this year.

As far as fit goes, if youre on the taller size you might get away with sizing up. I am shorter so sometimes things that are a bit oversized or slouchy can really swallow me up. I would think Simon could get away with a larger size if he wanted, but per his reporting, he takes a 4/M.

If you have more specific questions about the coats I am happy to help.
Thanks! Do you have a pic, by chance? (no worries if not)
Are you able to layer under it? I am on the taller side but I already have some looser coats like the DBF granddad so my gut feeling is to stay TTS

I asked them several times how to buy a product offering both the choice of local UK, EU and not-EU and they still replied to 1 out of 3 or 4 emails, with a very short answer that didn't lead anywhere. I thus did not buy from them.

Ironically, O' Connells, in the US, who carries a wide selection of Chrysalis,
has excellent customer service, at least over the phone. They'll actually grab
a pair of trousers that one is inquiring about and measure them in "real time"
while you hold.

I can try tomorrow and see what I can get Ive always been frustrated at my attempts to do self-pics in my current apartment, haha.

I bought a DBF grandad once a few years back but felt like I was in between sizes there. The 38 was roomy but didnt drape right, and the 40 felt enormous. What size did you take in your grandad, and how do you like the fit? Might be a helpful comparison.

Thanks!
I was kind of in the same situation with the granddad. I'm typically a 52 but the 52 granddad was definitely way too large on me, it looked absurd. I ended up going with the 50, which is still roomy through the waist but I wish the chest was just a tiny bit larger.

Does anyone have a list of stockists for Chrysalis, ideally in the UK? A. Hume have a few models, but my searches are turning up a surprisingly small number of results.

I am also looking for stockists, ideally in the EU. They are quite hard to find online...
