Need some input on champagne again. I can buy the following bottles effectively at cost.
J. Lassalle Preference NV -30
Benoît Lahaye Rose de Maceration - 53
Pierre Paillard Les Parcelles -35
Benoît Lahaye Brut Nature -48
Laherte Freres Ultradition - 30
I’m particularly tempted by the Benoît Lahaye as I’ve heard great things but haven’t actually tasted any of these bottles. Would you jump on any of these? Thanks in advance.
Okay, FP comes out with a winning offer two days in a row. I just put in for six of the Bedrock Heritage and six of the Zin. Bedrock is really hard to get an simply awesome stuff.
Don’t discount the grand marquees. I do find their stuff quite enjoyable and drinkable after letting the bottles lie around for a few years. If you treat the bubbles like wine and let them age, they will give much more pleasure. Because they are made like wines but sold like fast moving consumer products.Have had far more BdB than Pinot Noir focused champ. I drink about a bottle or two per week with dinner, but more than willing to fill out a cellar especially for the stuff that would benefit from being held back. This is great feedback, especially since I’m in the very very nascent stages of drinking bubbles.
Really nice QPR.

Wow. Cru Beauj is just such good stuff. Stemmy, juicy goodness.

Whole cluster. Nice use of oak. Highly recommend. Had with pasta/red sauce tonight.
