Picked up a half bottle of Yquem earlier this week. Anyone have any recommendations as to time (decent? Cellar?), food pairings, etc?

Not sure about the 2011, but in general maybe one or two decades further at least. I love Sauternes as well as Tokaj and in general I dont mind drink them young from time to time, but yours I would celler for a good time. If it was myself I would go for a foie gras.

Down to 4 bottles of the Muga Reserva Rioja 2006. Just picked up some bottles of the 2009. Hopefully its consistent or better than the 2006.

Walla Walla Valley

It’s been nearly ten years since my last visit and there are a lot of new wineries.

Other than the wonderful regulars like Abeja and l’Ecole (sadly no visits at Cayuse and Leonetti), do you have any suggestions? I don’t care about the ‘winery experience’, just want to taste great wine.

Many thx for suggestions

What are y'all's thoughts on white wine? I don't normally drink white wine, but every now and then the audience requires it.

I enjoy a nice dry riesling on warmer days. (not a huge fan of the auslese or spatlese).

Chablis occasionally as well (much prefer Chablis to new oaked chardonnay)
