Saw a vintage coach briefcase messenger bag. Leather made in USA. Had some use on it but no rips etc. They wanted 50... Worth it?

Yes. Vintage Coach from the 80's is much better than the current stuff. If you clean it up it's worth a flip, and definitely worth it for yourself. I use one I got from 46n2 every day.

The material some of these suits are made out of is like sandpaper. I can actually see a chafing on my left forearm sometimes after going down a really long rack of suits. It pays to wear long sleeves. Anyone else have a store near them that runs a perpetual 50% off sale on their outrageously priced items? Beat up, dated allen edmonds for $99, but they're half off!

There's a vintage store in Chicago I've walked past multiple times at different times of the year and always see a 50% off sale sign. Makes those $500 80s Dior trench coats totally worth it.

Off topic but is there a generic leather treatment to help restore shoes/leather messenger bags etc you guys prefer?

Heavily shrunk, lost all of their "raw" properties, all of their desirable color, and probably fit as well.

Never put jeans in the dryer!!

Hey, could be a good deal for some jeans though.

+1

And a few more items:
Zegna blue wool suit; double-vented; size 46R(US)

Caruso for Barneys wool/linen SC; double-vented; surgeon's cuffs; size 42L

And I'm assuming all the below are SCs and not orphans as the details, e.g., patch pockets lend themselves more to the former than the latter. Also, scoured the store for pants and none were to be found.
Borrelli navy SC; double-vented; surgeon's cuffs; size 40R

Kiton navy SC; double-vented; surgeon's cuffs; size 40R
(What kind of weave is this?)

Cesare Attolini wool/cashmere navy SC; double-vented; surgeon's cuffs; size 40R

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is all Corneliani stuff fully canvassed? I found this orphan that I picked up for $6, hoping to snag the pants after the fact but they never appeared. I was looking at it again and it doesn't seem to be fully canvassed...

Not all Corns are full canvassed. I have a tweed that's just 1/2 but it's so damn thick, I don't think it really needs it to retain its lapel shape.

It was. I'm rather livid at the moment.

i had that happen to me ... with an LP HORSEY JACKET!
thought i'd made the score of the year for $200 ... then it came and it buttoned on the wrong side (also shoulders fit weird, etc.). maddening.
