Ah, you picked that up. Lovely fabric hey?Favourite find from this week;
Thanks for the tip. Have heard of deoxit but never tried it. Looks like I should grab a can or two... Apparently these buttons are notorious for a little corrosion and indeed, one of them is already a tad bit scratchy already. Mechanical motion not enough...If you didn't already know, if you find yourself picking up older HiFi gear these 2 cans are your best friends
Agree 100% on the Shotguns. Would you part with one of the ties?I can’t stop myself from picking up cool ties even though I have a box of probably 250-300 high end ties I need to sell. Holland & Holland, would love one of their shotguns, lol.

Is that a David Lance Goines on the wall? Love his stuff; found a couple of his pieces in my thrifting adventures. Nice find on the chairThis '80s lounger is probably the closest I'll ever get to the Eames white-whale, but can't complain for $29

Those look early maybe mid 1970s...?
I think I posted this tale here a decade or so ago, but will repeat for the newer denizens: when I got out of college in Scotland, I worked as an assistant gamekeeper at Lord Cadogan's estate in Glenquaich. His son, Lord Chelsea (later assuming his father's title, and recently deceased) had a beautifully engraved matched set of Holland & Holland shotguns. Just stunning, perfect weight and balance. Really as good (and expensive) as it gets. Chelsea came out in a fury one day to say they'd been stolen, and not long after revealed he'd had a call from the police: "Sir, there's good news and bad news. The good news is we found your shotguns. The bad news is they've been sawn off". [Regular shotguns are typically sawn off illegally as the close-quarters concealable weapon of choice by bottom-feeding British crooks of the Vinnie Jones type]. The idiots probably sawed them for a $300 corner store robbery when they were worth a hundred grand apiece before they did . . . True story.Agree 100% on the Shotguns. Would you part with one of the ties?
