I was going to say 83-93 for the Gucci green bag. Little stuff like the color, the Logo style, the "R" encircled, the code stamping inside. Probably pre-2000's but seems more modern than 70s.

The suspect LV bag - There's always so much conflicting info that I pick up that I have no clue. I thought the monogram "LV" were never supposed to be cut off by borders, trim, etc. But then the leather quality and color look correct.. Stitching looks good. I probably would've taken a gamble at $30 too cause most of the LV's I see are much more blatantly cheap looking.

I’ve been told the same thing from a person who authenticates them… supposedly… that they don’t cut off the LV logo.

But I’m not entirely sure that possible on some of the bags.

It’s a main reason why I typically avoid highly faked items (like designer purses) because info can be conflicting and fakes can be pretty good sometimes. Found a dior once that was super clean and checked out decent, but the stitches were not enough between each X section so I suspected it was probably phony. Still good quality… impressive honestly.

Ah so that's the generic labeled Saphir Rennovateur yeah? Or is that the label you see in France?

Both by AVEL and have the same jar and top label as the 'Medaille d'Or' line. Looks like it's the bigger jar that's the same size as the "limited" ones they put out on the US market a few years ago:

I remember it was a substantially better price per ml than the smaller 75ml? jars.. But was that just a fancy label put over the generic product?

There's also this packaging that I see online at various sources, again made by AVEL and in the same size jar with metal lid:

In the end it's all white-ish goop that smells weird and we coat our shoes with it.
I don't know if the formula is exactly the same as the Saphir labeled Renovateur. It's meant to be used on leather furniture but works just as fine on shoes

How about ‘88 for the Gucci?

Been a pretty busy few work weeks, finally got to go through a domain recovery after a successful attack, but finally got out again.

Left the house before the sun came up today to hit an estate sale. Glad I did.

Five dollars and going right into my closet.

Been a pretty slow March but a few goodies.

Synchronicity I saw a recent orphan jacket by Greenfield yesterday and was bummed I couldn’t find the pants because it was likely perfect for personal use. I have pretty much stopped looking at shoes but found these Enzo Bonafes. Pop on Harris Wharf though the hype was short lived it looks like. Really like the contrast webbing on this one almost brand new. Detachable sleeves. A dearth of pockets.

Are these too big/much, or can these be a thing?

Haha thanks. I’m gonna hold onto it for a minute but when it’s ready to move I’ll give you a holler. It’s actually cooler than it looks. Really nice rubberized snaps. Vislon zipper. Seems like typhoon is their latest waterproof tech too. It had been up for 16 hrs when I claimed it, so didn’t think I had a chance.

I feel like I was channeling you when I thought it looked as cool as I thought it did. I remember seeing you in a many pocketed vest or something and doing it well. Twss.
