Bean boots are essential for pouring rain. I hate wet feet!

yeah they're great and really abundant in the thrifts here . i've bought wife a few pairs , i think the one is a sample ...

it's funny how certain things in thrifts can be very common by geography or very rare . all over the west coast i can find killer vintage denim but i've never seen old good lee .

my last clutch of quality ties, a buck a piece from a local church thrift. Funnily enough, after a closer inspection i think only the middle hermes is legit!

they all look legit from here … don’t see any troublesome signs, what makes you think they’re no good?

Man I've tried Bean boots so may times and they just aren't for me. I don't know if they don't have enough "structure" to them or what. When I had a pair I always gravitated to a more solid boot. My feet get cold easily though so that might have something to do with it.

You can get shearling or felt insoles that help a ton.

Sounds like you need proper hunting boots or mukluks.
This was years ago. I've tried out pretty much every style of boot you could think of through thrifting. I mostly wear military Danners and MIE Docs now (which despite being unlined, keep my feet warm for some reason), but I've got all kinds in the collection. RRL, Wesco, Polo, Chippewa, Redwing, Timberland, milsurp, Vasque, etc, etc ...

The Bean Boot’s advantage over rainy situations is their disadvantage for winter situations

The gum top is not insulating to the cold so it goes right through it
