Speaking of speakers, slowly rebuilding a Hifi setup after a couple years out of the game. $44 out the door for these guys and a center speaker. I don’t need to tell you they sound head and shoulders above the bookshelf speakers they are replacing.

Also, anybody have some tips for removing the water damage in these ostrich Luccheses?

Several passes of white vinegar, it may not remove everything as the stain has probably set in but it should make things better. It will dry the leather too so make sure to condition it thoroughly afterward.

TNF is outside my wheelhouse, but any brand that uses date codes and style numbers should maintain an online database. Nothing looks suspect from those pics, but googling the style number and season codes have yielded no results.

^ Yeah almost all the TNF items I've gone through have like "NF0Axxx" as the code and always pop up correct results. Searching that code doesn't seem to produce any results. Never seen that tag style in the photos, but maybe its specific to Steep Tech or just older..

The only legit Steep Tecj I’ve seen in person was the one a good friend was skiing in 25+ years ago. I see so much counterfeit TNF stuff in thrifts that I pretty much avoid anything by them unless it checks out 100%.

One of my favorites topics, I have not been since Feb 2020, google Paris thrifts for up to date reviews, that said. Very few bargains but luck, timing and luck still rules, Peepstars, hippy market, noir Kennedy, Beach something are a few I liked in the greater Marais, generally where I stay. re: paris i wouldn't bother with that type of food unless you venture out to the 18th or better yet take the RER up toward seine saint denis or something. the crisis of thievery esp near gare du nord is annoying. l'eclaireur is also one of the better shops in the world i liked cafeotheque.

From my personal perspective, Paris thrifting is few and pretty expensive. The only thing I know that was fun was Kilo Shop.
