Have not been out much yet and found almost no clothing. Did pick up this nespresso and a little cleaning it works like a charm. Just need to get one of the drip trays.

A few weeks back I won an AAAC contest for a $250 gift certificate to Potter and Sons, a Nashville shoe repair shop.
Delivery came today.

Adding this to what I already had I may just be good for life on this stuff, may actually need a bigger shoe care box.
these guys were real nice so don’t hesitate to give them some business.

finally, on a sad note, my stepmother passed away a few months back in Florida. Finally got down there last week with all the COVID issues and got to bring back some stuff from her house. My Dad passed a few years back and I had not returned for any stuff in the mean time. I may throw some stuff on here next little bit for you all to enjoy and I may have some questions as well.
to start, as you all love sunglasses so much, I found a pair I must have bought and forgot.

I guess I had pretty good taste back then. Not sure I will ever wear these again as I no longer wear contacts. Might be convinced to trade or sell these. So sunglasses guys, how did I do 26 years ago?

N95, gloves and I'm fine. Sanitizer when I get back in the car. TWSS. Talking of which, the local GW is in the same parking lot as my grocery store, so it's super-easy just to pop in and do a quick circuit every other day. The entire store is about a tenth the size of a regular GW, so it's pretty easy to identify new items. Plus, the demographic here is such that interesting items do show up reasonably frequently. Almost didn't go in yesterday, but damn, it was right there and it was old-fart discount day, soooo . . . Only one pickup, $7 after OF discount. MiUSA, awesome color and patina. Going on the 'Bay, though. These tight-waisted shorty jackets just don't work for those of us with weight above the belt line.

That's a pretty badass jacket. Well done!

I think with patience you can sell those for 200 and even make a 4 dollar profit .
So not bad at all.

Something we don’t see here very often. Do we have any scrimshaw experts in the house?

I grew up in new york and we would often go to cape cod/Martha’s vineyard. Guessing these were bought there sometime in the seventies. I know it’s illegal now.

I am thinking about keeping the newer Cartier lighter On the left and read that you can bring these in for refurbishment. There is a Cartier in Dallas so I might stop in. Has anyone here ever dealt with them before?

So awesome .I love this kind of stuff.
My friend has a lighter given to his dad in the early 80s by Slobodan Milosevic.
His dad was in some Ministry in Yugoslavia and he handed them out on occasion.
I'll try to get a pic,it was one of those burgundy enamel ones I think .
Also has a IWC watch from the Ministry .

I took my grandfather’s newer lighter to the Cartier boutique here in Las Vegas and they kept trying to upsell me on buying a new one until I decided to just leave.
