My first return to the (in-person) thrifts in a very, very long time. More-or-less skunked, but I did find this magnificent rage-inducer.

I might've grabbed it still, but the leather quality was godawful.

Pennsylvania made the mistake of using a Red/Yellow/Green re-normalizing system, rather than a Phase 1,2,3, etc system. Our area went "Green" last Friday (which doesn't at all mean things are back to the pre-Covid normal) but due to the confusion with the traditional meaning of Red/Yellow/Green, no-one around here is wearing masks anymore, although it was never officially mandatory.

Sigh, here we go again.

Still pretty much staying home here.

Oh, also, my e-thrifted Polo Country vest arrived. Frickin amazing. Far more wearable than any of the full coats I've seen. Sadly too big for me, but even having paid up, I'm very confident it was a good buy.

Been a while since I posted, I hope everyone is keeping safe and healthy - some pre-covid finds, available unless I indicate otherwise.

A super chunky womens Polo Sport cowichan, n/a shell Hanover PTB for personal, PRL handsewns, and an n/a alpaca blend hoodie from Field Scout. Hadn't heard of the brand, but great details.

Moar vintage excellence, including the rare ass holeless Pendleton -

an n/a salt/pepper shadow plaid with a camp collar, mop buttons. 50s? Superb construction.

All the right keywords, no makers tag. Mint chambray popover, chinstrap, talon zip. Roomy L.

OG Madewell (New Bedford, not the J Crew spinoff) painters pants. Mint, MIUSA, talon zip.

Another n/a shirt with some decades on it - color is less saturated irl.

Again, really good construction and details, reminds me a bit of Evan Kinori's cord overshirts.

And look at these suckers -

Weirdly perfect Nordica goathair ski boots, made in Italy. 10 bucks out the door, seem to sell well.

Some very cool womens' HBC outerwear with minor issues.

Woolrich Woman and true HBC.

I almost never grab old Armani, but this wool/mohair blend db was crispy for its age.

Smaller and has that roomy soft coat quality that seems to be big right now. Quick sale to Japan?

And this thing is n/a ******* awesome. A shop coat from 40s or 50s maybe? Built like a tank.

Double layer twill, roomy fit and pockets. Been looking for a lighter overcoat for some time now, this is perfect.

And that's the cap - starting to get back out there now that the thrifts are reopening so I'll post more recent finds (and cabin fever quarantine impulse buys/ethrifts) in the coming days.

Just yelled "BOOTS WITH THE FURRRRR!" at my phone. The kids are now looking at me like I'm from Mars, which, of course, is not an unusual occurrence.

Truly exceptional post!
