I just realised I am the youngest boomer ever and the pictures are tilted due to me being, well a 30 year old boomer. Sorry for that ?

As some of you know we are in the middle of a virus thriftmas and raised a small monetary gift for Doctors without borders in the process.

Any thoughts to doing an auction with the proceeds going to feedingamerica.org or similar?
Donate one blazer, trousers etc, that no longer fits. I know I have a few that will not fit 21 year old Wumpy ever again. Thoughts? x-post in Thrift to gauge interest.

quick edit: big thanks to @Bon Vivant Life for the genesis and @drlivingston for bookkeeping

Anyone recognize the maker or can decipher the writing? The made in Italy part I can read but can’t quite make out what the other writing is. Intra something?
It was so cheap I figured worth the risk.

Was your son ever into Rugrats? Mark M did the music for that.

Oh wow, that’s awesome. Did not know that. He’s never seen it, but I watched it every morning before school as a kid in elementary school. I’ll have to dig up some episodes on YouTube and show him. I completely forgot about that show until now.

Thanks! @double00

that’s what I had found online but I can’t seem to find anything remotely similar to this one. Not sure what keywords I’m missing, haha.

Been E-Thrifting like I mean it for the past few weeks.

Three spectacular vintage Ralph Lauren pieces—the polo coat is the one I rewove myself. That one ended up being free, because the seller cancelled the whole order because of the holes. (Actually feel bad about that—even with the holes, I wanted to pay her something).

The plaid one is pre-RRL Polo. MIUSA, wool, moleskin cotton lining, proper shearling collar. Probably the most valuable of the batch.

And today, this one arrived... Brunello Cucinelli x Michael Bastian Indian print shawl sweater. What a monster!

All are between 40 and 44, and available, if you feel like mutilating your wallet. No, I won't trade, sorry! Paid significant amounts for each of these.

As 2020 continues to devolve into a post-apocalyptic hellscape, I'm feeling the need to update my wardrobe. You guys think this'll do the trick?

Hey guys (@SpooPoker), I can really use your help with this Bally briefcase. It has an umbilical scar (I think) but I dunno if luxury retailers emboss those or not. This is by far the biggest thing I’ve ever bought off an online retailer, came from Poshmark and went through their service but they didn’t include any paperwork and I’m not entirely sure I trust them, I trust you guys a more.

Thanks so much.

that looks embossed to me but can you get super tight on the webbing? (TWSS)

it has a glossy finish over it but here, hope it helps, there’s a few spots where the glossy finish has worn off though. Everything I read said this was a sign of authenticity but this kinda thing never happens to me so it feels way too good to be true.

Here’s another picture of the bottom that looks where the “skin” may have been folded?

my 21 year old self had a 28" waist, will never see that again. at the start of sheltering in place I was all "i'm going to eat quinoa, green veggies, and drink alkaline water only, and finally fit into those 31" RRL selvedge jeans that mock me every morning". Days 1-5 I was a dedicated monster, the thought of ever defiling my body again with something that tasted good was laughable. days 6-8 I saw the light that depriving myself completely of the four major food groups (fat, meat, liquor, candy) was maybe a bit too monkish, and I did want to be a well rounded person. day 9 I summoned courage that I knew not that I possessed, and ventured to the forgotten land of the supermarket. day 10 until now has been a smorgasbord of meats, cheeses, breads, wines, and the finest confections in the land!
Basically, I fit into nothing, i'm all in on this awesome idea.
