Classic Kay/Truetone student parlor acoustic found in the toy section.

I saw Thile & Daves at the great American music hall in SF , Daves used two guitars : one was a 60s d-18 and the other was a kay / truetone .

they had an interesting act , they'd do like an uptempo boogie-woogie thing where they were playing both sides of a piano , thile doing the right hand stuff and Daves on the left hand and he'd be using the Kay for a lot of those tunes , it does that super jangly overdriven acoustic thing very well .

Their copywriting is really hit or miss. Similar experience with a TF suit that arrived today, still had the tags... tack stitching... but the cherry on top was the wooden hanger.

Ugh 17 Brioni ties creased up and down their full length at $5 a pop. They must’ve sat at the bottom of someone’s closet. I’ve seen different things about getting the creases out. Good pass?

Isn't that an easy steam session with a towel on top of the tie?

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
