We've got a guy here that does that, he's pretty damn successful at it though, and he does speed up unloading the racks so they bring out others faster. He annoys some of the employees, but most are happy with someone else doing their job.

Those guys “think”’they know what they’re doing. There’s a guy at my honey hole who’s there all day everyday and I still come out with a full cart in like 15 min. I’m like bro, what the fvck do you do here all day?!? He’s got a real punchable face too which doesn’t help lol

Tbh I hate rack camping shenanigans of all stripes, mostly because I don't have the time to do it.

I assume there are actual employees hustling the racks as well

I hate rack camping/rack chasing because how lame is your life that you stay at the same ******* dirty ass thrift store all day every day and run after new racks that come out the back. It’s pathetic. I would go ******* insane.

It's the thrill of the hunt vs. ice fishing.

In my time I've seen a lot of a$$holes come and go. Us honest hardworking regulars are still out here doing the grind and who knows what happened to those other greedy bastards.. Probably ended up at the bins. Let em be and practice your own thrift zen!

I picked up a pair of vintage oakleys, but the rubber pieces are deteriorating, they are gummy and sticky. Does anyone have experience with this, or is it a lost cause? Sometimes acetone works good to surface clean shoe rubber but I don't want to damage these further experimenting... possibly mineral oil? Tire cleaner?

...any advise would be appreciated. Thanks!

None of the places I go, bar maybe one, bring out enough racks to warrant waiting around, even if I had an unheated hot pocket in my hot back pocket. And they have a no rack shopping policy to keep things civilized, if you can call it that.
