My wife says that bag is fairly recent and has the tag thing inside where you should be able to scan a chip from your phone if you goto the Chanel website or through their app.
Chip came in effect in 2021 this one is from 2020.

Looks like all my neighbors needed some tax donations.

Been traveling for work all week and was about to head to DFW after my morning meeting today and did a quick “thrift stores near me” Google search (because I‘m am addict) and was psyched to discover I was only 1/2 mi from Genesis Benefit Thrift Store which I had last visited in 2019. Super clean, organized, well-run, etc. and lots of higher-end brands.

Could only spend 20 min there to make my flight and found something for both me and Mrs J, with the added bonus that both were items we had been looking for, too.

Sid Vicious camp mocs for me and Stuart Weitzman heels for Mrs J (still on their website). $20 total.

Genesis is my favorite store in Dfw. Get there as often as I can. A quick run from the main SA as well. Often my Saturday morning stops. Happy to meet for a cup of coffee sometime.

I got lost in Austin once, looking for a thrift store coincidentally. When I tell you it's the scariest place I've ever been to, I'm not joking, and I've spent time in Camden NJ.

I found a high school year book from the 30s for Austin HS too when I lived in Chicago. It's crazy to see how far a place can decline in less than 100 years. Some of the old victorians were still standing, but definitely had been used as crack houses for a good couple decades.

Yeah its crazy how you can be driving past the Frank Lloyd Wright House and within a few minutes you're seemingly on another planet.

Last weekend was pretty stellar -

my size... like eazy I have a hard time not getting high on my own supply when it comes to arcteryx. Speaking of which-

R1 Regulator Flash pullover from the MARS series, found at consignment place I used to work at (!) and consequently almost never visit. Had been sitting for 6 months (!!) so it was half off and basically thrift priced. n/a
IMG_7282.jpeg

that intriguing corner from the 1st pic belongs to these - a matched pair of vintage leaded stained glass windows. All slag glass, big tiffany studios vibes and in just perfect shape. nicely made teak(?) frames say architectural salvage to me but I need to do more research.

caught goodwill slippin on this minty Belstaff gilet
IMG_7300.jpeg

seems legit, very well made and the details seem right. Has a 'gold label' tag inside as well.
IMG_7303.jpeg

a very nice example of older Burberry's in olive wool twill, no liner but I found the belt rolled up in the pocket and appears virtually unworn.

I don't typically cop B&J unless there's a kicker of some kind, but this midnight blue pure silk overcoat with a rad paisley lining was a no brainer. n/a. tags look like anyone in particular or just a random Italian contract for Bullocks?
IMG_7299.jpeg

yard sale find- $10 for a rather worse for wear X face Swatch from 1987. The band is obviously roached but the case looks pretty good, hoping all it needs is a fresh battery.
IMG_7325.jpeg

Anyone have a spare Swatch band in that black ribbed plastic design?

found at habitat for humanity, tagged "yard art, 4.99"

I've picked up a ton of good to great pottery and ceramics pieces, this is probably the most siginficant by a decent margin.

an early piece ('bilbao", 2005) from Ebitenyefa Baralaye, a RISD graduate who went on to an apparently successful career in ceramics and sculpture:

for example. To Be Continued..
