Are the majority of you active thrifters resellers as well or just buying for yourselves and friends/family?

..I only really take the stuff that gets the blood pumping but I basically still end up hoarding an ungodly amount of stuff.

I buy mostly for my own use but I’m always looking for something I know I will make money on if I grab it.

had a bit of a womens wear thriftening. I am not up on women's wear at all, other than recognizing high end brand names, i have no idea what is actually sellable-desirable. but here is my haul, at least the known names. there are about another 15 pieces I haven't photographed yet, all less recognizable names. almost all pieces are deadstock with tags. my cost was under $11 ppu.

Some items had original store tags, like holt renfrew. others had reseller stores like filenes basement. all items are from 90s or earlier, so figure that out when looking at prices.

Absolutely crazy finds....I would think that you could sell the lot to a movie or TV show stylist, seems like a killer wardrobe for wealthy character in a 70s/80s story.

From an auction the other week: his and hers kilts. Five bucks each.

Recognized the logo from a long way off - and this at a store that wouldn't usually miss this for megapricing. 'Gamo messenger bag. Five bucks. Oops.

I usually only check the women's coats, but spotted the Pucci being rolled out and made a beeline for the rack. the entire rack was full, and there were two other ladies grabbing stuff, one a regular and the other some lady decked out top to bottom in designer clothes, a louis bag, gucci shoes and moncler jacket. they both got as much as me, the woman i know got a couple pieces that were great, an 80s versace shirt nwt, 2 80s armani dresses, some newer prada. tried to see what the other lady got, but she was having none of that.
