This last page is just reinforcing my decision to stay away from militaria as I know virtually 0 about it.

Never too late to learn! :)

Interesting market. Is this camo being sold to streetwear people, or more of a military collecting thing? Who is buying "the good stuff"?

Both, actually. Camo is hot right now.

All about me today(almost)
This I found, wore, and put in my closet today. Made even more excellent by being only $15 at a place where Stafford SCs are $25.

So, strictly adhering to my one in one out policy for personal stuff, this had to come out (avail):

Then a pop - my size

Fuzzy BOSS goodness 40 L have to decide if I'm keeping, sleeves are a little long.

BB anchor print, nice recent Regent fit L again my size.

Pataloha, XL too big for me.

all under 30 min.

Is this the old Burberry I'm looking for? Removal wool lining and all belts, buttons and loop holes are there. Has some of what looks to be tea stains on the one lapel

. This thing buttons both ways so I could button it to hide the stains but was wondering if there is a proper way to button it lol fits actually surprisingly well

Any advice for removing the stains or will I do more damage then good?

Love the old Burberry coats,
The new ones suck so bad, I checked them out at the Burberry store once and they were terrible

Right, I'm just having a hard time imagining that guy in camo pants loving the early 70s tigerstripe but reacting in disgust to the slightly-different-shade-of-green 80s camo.

The streetwear connoisseurs, sure, and the military collector guys, but seems like the thrift finds above should have a market with the average vintage-interested guy.

Some stuff from today. All available.

2 x Synchilla full zips. Both size L. One men's, one women's.

2 x Alden Welterweight Walkers. Picked up 3 pairs yesterday(1 welterweight walker, 2 all weather walker). 9.5B

Not sure what this is. Just thought it was cool.

You would probably refer to that nowadays as a "trinket box" but if you're going to list it throw the words "Limoges style" in the listing. It's based on the highly decorative porcelain boxes that were made in Limoges, France that men would use to keep their snuff tobacco with them through the day in the 19th Century. While they haven't been widely used for snuff in nearly a century, they are still produced in Limoges and elsewhere in France as decorative items. You'll often find them hand-painted and shaped as fruits, vegetables, animals or with a simple floral decoration. Certain manufacturers are highly sought after. Without any markings to ID to the maker, however, yours probably only has value to someone with a connection to the oil industry.

Hope this helps!

First, I apologize for the lousy picks.  I am trying to get some stuff done before leaving on a trip Thursday for a car auction and mini Thriftcation in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Noble-- just an FYI, if you're in Raleigh you're only about an hour and 15 minutes from the Brooks Brothers Clearance Center in Garland, NC. Pleasant drive through the country, too. IMHO, it is worth the drive. You can find some prior posts on here about it if you're unfamiliar.

Thank you so much for taking the time to type all that. Super helpful.
