Anyone know details on the Trunk show in San Francisco?  Haven't heard back when requesting an appointment.

The trunk show ended yesterday at 3pm (mine was the last appointment). Strange he didn't email back, as Agyesh is usually prompt about that stuff. I did hear, however, that the two-day show was all booked up.

I was told that he plans to make San Francisco a permanent stop though, so he'll likely be back soon. Might be worth emailing to get a sense of dates.

Ended up ordering the bomber in dark brown suede. Wool overcoating selection was great though. The new navy boucle is really nice. Almost ordered the overcoat in that dark brown and cream herringbone, but ended up with the bomber instead.

Thanks @dalevy and @dieworkwear. I got ahold of Agyesh just as he was leaving, but he said he'd be back in two to three weeks. No time at all from a trunk show perspective. Thinking about olive trousers and the forest green hat. @sebastian mcfox may change my mind to sand, though.

the herringbone coat is awesome! if I didn't have other things higher on my list for practicality, I would definitely go for that one. So beautiful.

Glad to hear this. I'm thinking about trousers as well. Not really a hat person, but mcfox makes anything look good.

Fairly certain that is an Isaia sweater Agyesh designed while he was there.

Any idea of the brand of the drapey/loose inner polo/shirts that are commonly used with the stoffa pieces? They seem to be less structured then 'normal' and typical bespoke offerings. AFAIK seen some on the man himself at the trunks, so may have to ask

e.g the polos definitely work well with the collar popped

It's today, I was just there this morning. I believe it's the last day. If you haven't heard back, then maybe they are full? Agyesh mentioned it was a super busy season.

While I'm here, I might as well put this here:

Can you remind me the pricing on the four jackets and trousers? Cheers!

^ Those boots are actually side zips. You can see them more clearly here:

Agyesh told me they were made expressly for the guy wearing them (they're his boots). Supposedly a shoemaker in India who specializes in riding and polo boots. Don't know the name.

There are a couple of English makers for custom side zips, but they don't take remote orders. And lots of SWDish brands. Lemaire and Barbanera's side zip boots have a toe shape like that. Also Lucchese's Jonah model, although only their suedes are worth ordering (they can custom orders for about $900, while ready made only comes in tan suede). Margielas are a bit more squared off (and I think casual looking). Also some CM-ish brands, like Massaro and StC.

Was interested in the polos as well, and planning to ask Agyesh. Will let you know once I find out.

I inquired about the polos and sweaters when Agyesh was in Los Angeles a couple weeks ago, and was told that the polos and sweaters I see at the trunk show are all samples he is testing out. Too bad he was very vague about when he would release the new products because I would have ordered some on the spot.

I would also encourage for those interested in Stoffa to check out the trunk shows, the fabrics are even more amazing in person.

Fun fact, the guy modeling is actually Agyesh's father.

I've been wearing the flannel trousers in sand for about 5 weeks now, and while flannel season is coming to an end, I highly recommend it. It holds it's shape and creases superbly and keeps you warm while being airy and lightweight.

Does Stoffa do any further alterations after the garment has been delivered, or is that up to you to deal with and pay for?

Hey now - is that proper leather on the right?! I thought the Stoffa jackets were only available in fabric & suede...

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
