Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too, it’s just something to get used to I guess. But I like the idea, adds a bit of flair/drama to the look.

It’d be interesting to see a photo to compare, I thought the wool pair fitted spot on for what they are.Got my hands on one of these on the discount. It's quite nice. Although I tried the stock 50 in the Mercer St. studio (there's a photo of a pair of wool drawstring trousers in the gallery), true to size works better imo.
Here's the beige linen. To fit the waist you have to pull the fabric front and back to the sides (you can see the bunching clearest in the wool drawstring trousers that is in the gallery and indeed, in the stock photos at Stoffa on all the models...they are all wearing EU50 though varying is waist size). It's fine, I'd keep it but the 48 worked better, that is has the same front profile but better fit in back without fabric bunching on side. So, I would suggest true to size. It’d be interesting to see a photo to compare, I thought the wool pair fitted spot on for what they are.
It depends on the kind of fit you want. It's a very straight/slightly boxy silhouette. I'm a solid 52 in tailoring, and I have the DB shirt jacket in 50 and like the way it fits on me. It's still a relaxed fit on me, so I think if I had a 52 I'd be swimming in it.Any advice on sizing for the DB Shirt Jacket? I'm a 52/54 and thinking of trying a 54. Any and all help appreciated.
I've run into the sleeve length issue for many of their products. I wish they would do longer sleeves in general, a slightly long sleeve is less problematic than a short one. Thanks to both of you for the advice - I decided to grab one in moleskin on sale via Mr Porter to try the larger size, which I can return if the fit is off. I'm looking for something more relaxed and knockabout - something I could even wear unbuttoned around the house, almost as a oversized cardigan substitute - so figured the 54 is the place to start. The sleeve measurements were the decider, in that MrP shows the 52 as unusually short there, although their accuracy is typically spotty and the piece seems to fit a bit larger than it measures.
It's possible the construction of the jacket doesn't suit this use case, of course, and it'll look messy rather than relaxed. I'll re-evaluate and consider it in a size down and a more luxe fabric if not.
True to size. If you are truly between sizes, round up. I have the slippers and the trainers and have had zero break-in issues.Anyone tried the shoes? How's the sizing?
Thanks. That's good to know since their description says to size down if you're betweenTrue to size. If you are truly between sizes, round up. I have the slippers and the trainers and have had zero break-in issues.
