Sleeves look fine to me. I notice a lot of people wear leather jackets with sleeves that are too short and maybe that's creating the perception.

Agreed, definitely don't shorten those! They look completely reasonable, and a teeny bit extra prevents riding up while driving and reaching for stuff (AKA the bane of my existence).

Same. Sleeves that ride up like that drive me crazy as a taller guy.

Does anyone know if all east west jeans are made out of the same 16 oz denim? Or if they differ in heaviness, feel etc?
I'm curious about this too. Does anyone know the answer?
All the recent jeans I've purchased are Low Straight made out of Union Standard denim, so I'm also curious about the weight of Union Standard, as it doesn't feel as heavy as the recent East-West. The website says the Low Straight is made out of 16 ounce fabric, but I've come to doubt their descriptions.

Edit: I found in the SS 2021 catalog it says the Union Standard is 13.75 oz. and the East-West is 16 oz. But I don't know if this still holds true. If so, they shouldn't claim the Low Straight is 16 oz. since it's made with Union Standard.

I weighed my union standard 16,25 oz and my east west 15,9 oz, and they weighed similar. They both definitely feel different though, as the union standard feels less smooth and soft than the east wests. It could of course just be due to the different washes.

Anyone know which lookbook the recent limited edition olive vintage fit buckleback jeans are in? Just got a pair for a steal by pure dumb luck but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the buckleback and the back beltloop to cooperate and was hoping to see how it’s styled in the lookbooks.

Are you just not supposed to use that last beltloop? Or is the intention that the buckleback is tucked underneath and not visible when wearing a belt?

You can't unless you move the buckleback down below the belt loop. If you tuck it under the belt, there's an uncomfortable bump in your back that you're always aware of. It is not a good design.

I don’t think those were in the regular F/W lookbook. Same with the LE straight fit ones.
With that buckle placement I leave the buckle as shown and don’t wear a belt. If lack of belt bugged me, I’d rebuckle inside the belt look and just wear with belt. I’d think about what @Simonbarsinister said about relocating the buckle but never get around to doing it.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
