I wish RRL would ditch those paper/cardboard patches on some of their jeans. They are so fragile. Destroyed another one while putting a belt on. Will have it replaced with a leather patch from a pair of jeans I no longer fit in.
No doubt, it’s really unbecoming of the brand, that cheap paper junk

How can the cardboard patches be recognised?

Hi all - saw this sport coat in my size and decided to give it a shot.

RRL Wool Herringbone Suit Jacket

Have others had experience with similar RRL jackets that are Made in Italy? From the description, I couldn't figure out the cloth ("Cloth was custom-developed with a storied British mill"), nor if it is half or full canvassed.

Would appreciate any insight. Thank you!

that’s a good choice in any case, it looks practically same as RL67 to me by the way (and I think the only side vent SB RRL?)
Thanks! I think you are exactly right - nearly identically priced as well. Given that RL67 is half canvassed, I bet these are as well.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
