Red puffy twill vest, sw overshirt, brown that looks olive in some light slim fits, black roughout cowboy boots.

Awesome embroidery. I REALLY wish they numbered these things to make them more special like the old limited RRL items.

Hey guys, saw mixed reviews here on the waffle henley and need some help. It's not thermal and doesn't wear too warm right? Similar to a long sleeve tee? I run hot and want to layer without overheating. Are there better alternatives (for the people who didn't like it)? Thanks.

In my opinion, they’re the best Ive come across. They get a lot of love here too. It’s 100% cotton, breathes well, and looks incredible under flannels. That said, being in Texas, I do only wear em in the winter as part of my layering. There’s also the short sleeve version in white (or cream) and black from RRL and those are great options too.

I wear the long sleeve waffle henleys as undergarments, either underneath a cowboy shirt or a flannel on cold days, or as an intermediate layer between my skin and a scratchy knit like a chunky turtleneck.

When I asked about these, the guys here egged me on to buy one. I was skeptical because I'm not the biggest waffle knit fan, and I also run a bit hot and value all-season versatility in my wardrobe.

As far as being thermal: I can wear it in summer heat even under a shirt. Now that it's getting cold, I usually wear a t-shirt underneath, even with heavier overshirts. You might forego the t-shirt if you run really hot. It's extremely comfortable and breathable, and I love how it sits on me. I'm planning on picking up several more when I can grab them on sale.

Have any of you guys had RRL suits/jackets altered? I need to let out an RRL jacket about an inch but I don't know if there's inlay.

Not sure about the suits as I don't own, but the mil P43 shirts have some room on the hip seams due to double stitching. About 2 or 3 inches on each side.

How thick/heavy is the parka? It looks lightweight compared to the red one from several season ago.
The navy fits slightly smaller than the red one in same size. Body is 2+ inches shorter. Navy fabric is lighter weight than the red.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
