So I'm a 40/41" chest, sitting at 5'9 165. Initially I tried the Christy vest in my usual size of 40 which was too snug to layer. Sold that and grabbed a 42 and it's great. I would go up 2 sizes, so a 46 for you. I do agree that it will be on the long side if you're around my height but if you're taller then you shouldn't have a problem with the length. Make sure to check auctions overseas (buyee, fromjapan) for a chance to grab it on the cheap. I got mine for roughly 50% off after shipping fees.Hey Folks, Sorry to ask a non "RRL" question here - Curious if anyone has tried out the Rocky mountain featherbed Cristy Vest. Folks say it is generally smaller and you need to size up, but not seeing any valid measurements or explanations. Wanting to ask the audience in this thread - but if I'm generally a 43-44 in chest/33 waist/18.5 shoulder - what sizing is best recommended for those that have experience with the brand?
Thank you, all! This is very helpful. I am about 5'11 180. I def feel a bit weary on picking up a vest that might end up being too long going for a size 46. Here it is with a RRL denim jacket

Personally I don’t think it will be too long. I just measured the center backs of my 48 and similar RRL vest in XL and they’re within a fraction of an inch of each other. The lower sides of the RMFB however are shorter.Thank you, all! This is very helpful. I am about 5'11 180. Nice! Is there a link? How did you access it?Just a heads up for European fellers: the RL website just launched a private store section with some previous year FW pieces at 75% (!!!) off. Many pieces already gone now but I managed to snag a big haul coming in tomorrow.
European website (I’m Dutch), there’s a private store header somewhere. RRL and RLPL are explicitly only listed under the luxury sale sub header, don’t show up otherwise.Nice! Is there a link? How did you access it?
Thanks. I'm also in the Netherlands (recently moved to Amsterdam) and can't seem to recreate on the NL site. Oh well will see if something pops up! I saw it this morning by accident but a bunch of stuff has sold out since then. I’ve been buying RRL for 10 years and I’ve never seen 75% off just offered like that.
Update: The Whitmans I ordered in my size earlier this week just arrived in the mail, and I'm not as hot on them anymore. The pair I tried on in the Polo store to gauge length was a 32/30, which ended up throwing off my sense of fit on these. The 30/30 pair I received is actually about 1/4" slimmer in the hem than my vintage 30/32 Andrews (7 3/4" vs 8"), and as a result the whole leg is a little slimmer than I'd like. I really wanted to be like these but the minor differences are enough to turn me off them, and the fact that the color on these is not far off from another pair of vintage cords I own (those are a little more orange/tan, but it's still pretty close) doesn't help. I'm probably going to end up returning them.On the other hand, the current Whitman pant is basically a repro of the vintage Andrew chinos with a flapped coin and back pocket and sewn on cuffs. The fabric on them is a lot more sturdy than my vintage Andrew cords that have a little poly mixed in, probably for softness. I ended up getting a pair in brown, I think these might be nicer than the vintage trouser that they’re based on. Really pleasantly surprised with them.
Just found this on the uk version too, picked up the corduroy western for £79! You’re a heroEuropean website (I’m Dutch), there’s a private store header somewhere. RRL and RLPL are explicitly only listed under the luxury sale sub header, don’t show up otherwise.
