Their straight WWII chino repro.Which RMC are you looking at? I think Joe is the most versatile but also just modern straight (like 7.5in leg opening on size 30)
And by the way if you like 8-8.5 leg opening but not pleat front but flat front instead, not RL but this is a good choice
1950s US Army Officer Chino Trousers
The trousers are made of 10 oz. high-density twill cotton, featuring two front angled pockets, a right hip coin pocket, and two back buttoned pockets. They have been garment washed to give a vintage feel and will become even softer and more comfortable after wearing and washing.www.olderbest.com
I almost bought one last year and yes I had to size up 2 sizes for it to fit across my chest comfortably, but then it was too long in the length for me and looked odd. Great quality and design, I'd buy one if it fitted me correctly.Hey Folks, Sorry to ask a non "RRL" question here - Curious if anyone has tried out the Rocky mountain featherbed Cristy Vest. Folks say it is generally smaller and you need to size up, but not seeing any valid measurements or explanations. Wanting to ask the audience in this thread - but if I'm generally a 43-44 in chest/33 waist/18.5 shoulder - what sizing is best recommended for those that have experience with the brand?

Welcome to the Backup Pair squad! So far its me and @zippyh and @gnatty8 is in negotiation. I believe @clee1982 submitted an application too.I've got more than a few pair from Olderbeast/Bronson including these 1950's Army Officer Chino, the 1944 USMC Officer Chino, the Army M-43 Field Trouser, the USMC P-41 HBT Trousers, and the 1930's Ivy Double Pleated Chino. Overall, the are all a great value for the quality and I love the fit across the board.
The Ivy Double Pleated Chinos are an awesome value at $40. They're very soft.
1930s IVY Style Double Pleated Chino Trousers - Yellow
The trousers are made in the style of suit trousers, making them comfortable and decent to wear. The inner waist is hemmed, and the trouser leg has a 5cm wide hem.bronsonshop.com
The only one I wouldn't be scrambling to buy again would the the USMC HBT Trousers. The ones from Bronson are EXTREMELY stiff compared to the RRL ones. Yes, the material feels more substantial and higher quality in the Bronson ones but they took quite a few wears and washes to get them to how I like them. In this case, I don't mind paying the extra for the RRL ones. FWIW, the RRL HBT trousers might be my favorite pants I own and now have 5 or 6 pair... I keep buying "backups" 😅
USMC P-41 HBT Utility Fatigue Trousers
The USMC adopted the P-41 uniform in November 1941, which consisted of a jacket and pants. It was initially intended to be worn for work and training. With the outbreak of the war, the P-41 uniform to use in combat, and became known as a combat uniform. The early P-41 Utility Trousers had a...bronsonshop.com
The Full Count 1992 OD Utility Trousers are fantastic as well. I think they're nicer quality than the RRL HBT trousers in terms of construction and the price is comparable but I like the material in the RRL trousers a bit more.
1992HW-23 Utility Trousers Fade
O.D 16/10 Slub Backsateen Cotton 100% Utility trousers, also called Baker pants, are a standard military trouser that are becoming more popular, owing to their wide silhouette. The greatest charm of these trousers lies in their use of a cotton satin lining on the inside surface - an incredible...fullcount.co
Full Count used to have an awesome "Officer Chino" but I haven't seen it offered on their site in a while. But, I think the price had climbed up above $300 last time they had it so for that price, I'd rather get a few pair from Bronson.
Edit: Looks like Standard & Strange still stocks the Full Count Officer Chino and they're not quite as expensive as I remember:
US Army 41 Chino Khaki - Brown Beige
With a stylistic focus that zooms in on the era where denim transitioned from "workwear" to a casual fabric, Fullcount were the first brand to start making their denim from hand-picked Zimbabwean cotton, which is famous for its long staple length (granting it both greater softness and durability...standardandstrange.com
Their straight WWII chino repro.
TROUSERS, COTTON, KHAKI, 1941
The TROUSERS, COTTON, KHAKI, 1941 were part of the M-1941 uniform, which was the standard field uniform for the U.S. Army during the early years of World War II. A classic garment worn by almost every branch of the military, these are some of the most iconic trousers of the mid 20th century and...therealmccoys.com
It’s big, but I very much want to try it regardless to get a feel of the fabric weight and drape.
Hi there,
New to the forum but have been a fan of RRL for a while. Found this RRL deck jacket selling on Ebay but having a hard time verifying the authenticity. I believe it is part of the F/W 2015 catalogue. Would anyone know any more?

Yes, I'd love to see that comparison. Also any comparisons between the major Japanese military repro brands would be appreciated.I prefer the BR version (I have all three models) FWIW. One of the Japanese magazines did a comparison if you want to see that.
