The tide is finally going out on men's slim-fit pants, according to the Economist. It's about time. Maybe we can expect some non-ankle-hugging denim from RRL in the next season or two.

But the only ankle huggers they have are the slim narrows

maybe he meant no more damn NUT HUGGERS rather than ankle huggers. those slim fit jeans are horrible. I'm not in guns n roses nor am i in the cast of Rent...ill pass on any slim fit jean.

like jay-z once said...

"i dont wear skinny jeans cuz my nuts wont fit!"

Rrl. Slim fit jeans are no where near skinny imo. The only issue i have with them is they have a really low rise. If youre a slim to average built dude. You will have more than enough room as long as you don't downsize

I'm fairly slim (6ft, 170lbs) and the RRL Slim Fits are perfect for me. They don't hug my ankles, mainly cause I have chicken ankles :)

Edit: and they don't hug my balls either :)

I agree. I am assuming the only reason they call it slim is to distinguish it from the much fuller and roomier straight and low straights.. I honestly don't think RRL even makes a true slim fit jean..

im a 32x30 in jeans. i bought one pair in slim bootcut and one pair in slim so and so. my nuts would literally get crushed and squeezed instantly with the slim so and so...the bootcuts were perfect right away. if they kept on with the bootcuts...i would buy them again.

Did anybody else receive this email last week for 30 percent off one item ? speaking of slim Narrow, I used the code to buy these. they came out to 272. they should come in tomorrow. I have really skinny calves so i tend to stick to narrows. normal slim fits look sloppy on me from the knee down.

I bought these.

Quote: Well, I didn't receive anything, but then again, I don't think I've purchased a single RRL item online and fairly small purchases anytime I have purchased something through the website...I get everything through the stores...and the stores treat me pretty well so I'm not complaining...

so....the officer chino shorts in khaki were delivered yesterday. Tried them on and they were too big and planned on returning them on Saturday. When I got in from work today, my dear wife had them on the drying rack after giving them a cold wash thinking she was doing a good thing. Guess they will be on B&S in a day or so, or whenever I get around to posting them. Really thought the 32 would work for me and apparently, so did my wife!

if you still have the tags then just return then through the mail. you'll get your refund. I've gotten stuff online that didn't even have tags on it or better yet...I've gotten stuff with tattered tags. i returned some of the untagged stuff too in the past. it works.
the key is that you haven't really worn them...so technically it's unworn.

Are they just to big in the waist, and do they have busted-seam construction (the regular chinos do)? If so, it's super easy for a tailor to take them in.

Wives, the natural enemy of men who dare to purchase their own clothing.

Whenever my mate wants to get me going, she threatens to snip off the chain stitch run-offs on my faux-worker shirts.

"You paid THAT much for a shirt for a shirt and there are loose threads? Let me get my scissors!"

Oh, the horror of it all.
