IMO very cropped, boxy and narrow through the shoulders. odd.

While it is definitely cropped (which I really like), its not overly boxy (just kind of) and the shoulders are about 18", which isn't all that narrow for a small sized jacket. Not sure about other/later variations of the aviator but that season was a winner.

I've considered having the epaulets removed but I haven't decided yet.

I just ordered the black coated one and shoulders are 18.25" on the medium and 26" length. Pretty excited to wear it, the other day I realized how much I need a spring jacket and this should fit the bill. I also dig the cropped look because the drape it gives is nice and does not flare out as much.

Just checked on Neighbour for the Beige Pocket sweater and it's a tad more expensive than first thought. So nice though.

yeah i have that colorway. it's beautiful and fits well. because it's the summer/cotton version, the fabric will soften and grow slightly with wear.

Also interested in this seasons pocket sweater - has anyone picked up the blue /w black version?

Which is the closest representation in terms of colour - both look completely different:

One on the main site looks great. Not so keen if it's more like the East Dane picture - both are indigo apparently...

Can you compare the fit of the current SS14 pocket sweater vs. the FW13 version? Same size in both?

Thanks, I can definitely try and grab some. There's no indication at all of season. I'm surprised but it doesn't even have a tag stating where it was made and of which materials. All it has is the black Ervell tag, size tag and a small tag that says dry clean only.
