come on. There's really no way Silva and Jones would or should fight. We have beaten this topic to death.
Let's just go back a little. If Vitor wasn't such a ***** he could have snapped Jones arm like a twig and that fight would have been over. Vitor the new champ and Silva wouldn't be discussed for awhile but no!
Vitor chumped out and it costed him a "W" and know we have to hear about Silva and Jones again.

nah... the best way to make a good fight against JBJ is to put in a guy who has reach, power, and speed to pot-shot him.... ring his bell a little....

I say make an exciting david vs goliath situation and pit him against Alexander Gustafsson.

Might as well test the new up and comer and see if he has what it takes to make it interesting....

Yeah, I thought Gustafsson was about 1-2 fights away while Glover was about 3. There's enough depth there, especially since Henderson will be coming off injury soon. Wouldn't mind seeing Cormier drop down to LHW if his kidneys can handle it.

Agree with Gustafsson, maybe 2 more then a titleshot. Sonnen has absolutely no place in a title bout for 205. That is actually offensive to the other fighters in the division.

Personally would like to see, aside from Gustafsson, Machida and Cormier. Don't reall see Hendo getting through JJ. Not well rounded enough and GJ will have his bases covered for the big right.

Cormier would be neat. He could cut to 205 no problem and has said as much.

Not that this would ever happen, but always thought JDS and JJ would be a fun fight.

Sonnen might not deserve the title shot but I'm looking forward to him dissing JBJ. While it was a stretch for him to say that Anderson Silva "sucked", JBJ is a hypocrite. He crashed his car outside a strip club, yet he goes around telling people he is a model Christian. I think this feud is going to be a lot more interesting than Chael's feud with Silva.

I thought cormier has kidney problems that hinder him from cutting weight?

He said in two interviews leading up to the, now defunct, Mir match-up that he was planning on staying at heavy weight for at least a fight, when crossing over (due to his success in that class) but would drop down if a) he didn't experience success at that weight or b) was encouraged to drop down. Will try and find the video clips for you.

With that all said who knows. Time will tell on that one I suppose.

I think GSP will have to much ring rust to beat Carlos.

I like Condit, and think he poses a significant threat to GSP both standing and on the ground. That said, most of the fight is going to look like Condit trying to get out of a sleeping bag with a broken zipper. GSP by UD. I'm going out on a limb and picking Martin Kampmann by third-round submission in the title eliminator fight.

J.H. might whup that ass after GSP is finish with his super fight with Silva. I think it's bullshit. I think GSP should fight J.H. before facing off with Silva.
