  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Shop the Loden collection here.

Took an extra day of vacation to recover from destination wedding. Long bike ride was ill-advised today. Whew it’s getting hot!

Two days off.....I think first up is sorting through the ever-increasing wardrobe (because i'm a clothes hoarder and refuse to offload stuff even though i probably should) and pick out a sportcoat and 2-3 trousers (maybe a waistcoat?) for London.

Then likely that coat will need to go have the sleeves shortened slightly before we go. Most of my stuff is just OTR/unaltered so it needs a slight shortening and i'm just too lazy til now. But 1-2 a month we'll be there in no time.

Maybe I'll even get extra and throw a photo or two up here so you can all scoff at me and maybe one or two will chime in with how much the sleeves should come up. I have my guesses but we can make a drinking game out of it or something.

I dunno I'm just gonna be bored.

I'm heartbroken that my tailor, Christopher Kim, is retiring at the end of the year. Do any of you have recommendations of a DC tailor, preferably Metro-accessible, who you trust with difficult work? I used Will Field many years ago, but prefer someone with a shorter turnaround time.
Given your location you should think about Ezra Paul, just south of dupont, who has an MTM shop and an alterations tailor. I’m going to try him on the former, but I’m willing to bet on the latter.

Did he move again? I thought he was up on U Street.
