  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Shop the Loden collection here.

I'm with Mr. P, just my usual knee brace and some nice breezy shortpants. staying indoors with the one quick exception to go pick up my uranium glass.

(also i have no intention of ever drinking from these items, but they'll make a spectacular centerpiece for my bar in the house we eventually get next year in Colorado)

Uranium glasswear is quite sought after. I rarely use my short thrift time in that area but I'm sure some come from time to time.

Vintage 329 on Royal Street in New Orleans (just across from the Cafe Beignet next to the police station) has a HOST of the stuff toward the back of the shop.

They were having a significant storewide sale (and we were there in April too no sale, so it's not a perpetual-sale thing like JCrew or Allen Edmonds ;) ) when we went by last weekend; long story short Mrs. got herself a lil summin summin from another shop so I told her fair's fair and treated myself too. :p

(I actually walked in for a bit of vintage glassware that was crystal and silver, but the uranium stuff was lots cheaper and came with a decanter lol)

Thank you! I will be in New Orleans come September for work and I am sure there would be a few hours to spare. Might look for some southern trad stuff too while I am there if they have thrifts nearby.

Where do you all sell/consign/donate clothes that you no longer wear that are not desirable enough for Luxeswap? Looking to clear out some space and possibly make a little $$$.

I just send to Goodwill. I never make any “real” money off LuxeSwap. Just enough to justify the effort of sending the stuff in.

Nice to assume it’s going to someone who will appreciated it I guess.

AMVETS comes to our house and picks things up a couple of times a year. My wife is a VA doc, so it's a small way that we help out a community we know well with lots of folks who could use some help: https://www.amvetspickup.org/
