I like the idea of checking emails periodically during vacation so I don't come back to an overflowing inbox. I am very disciplined with shutting off from work but I can see periodic checking being problematic for the weak minded.
I just ignore all emails in my inbox when I get back. Put them in archive and start fresh.

most of the time i don't even open my personal email while on vacation lol. Then again my career kind of lets me do that since i legally can't get online when out of the country.

I'm taking my daughters to Universal Orlando and Disney's Halloween Party the week after next. Universal closes at 7 on weekdays. We're going to be lounging in our hotel rooms most evenings. I will definitely be scrolling my work emails to delete the junk. I won't be responding to things, but if I can clear away the subscriptions/news/spam that will make it much easier when I return.

My wife gets 4 days home alone with the dog. She hates theme parks and Florida, plus she needs a break.

Yep, I think work/life separation is super important. Unfortunately, I'm in a field where work tends to invade non-work life.

But let's be honest, when you're perched over the toilet hurling your guts out due to highly emetogenic chemotherapy, you're going to want your medical oncologist to be following closely, right? I guess it comes with the territory, I can't control that.

On a lighter note, I've gotten a lot of wear out of my go-to DB navy hopsack blazer this week and I'm enjoying it!

Haha, I don't think I have any pics of it, but I really like your Armoury Model 6 and Sartoria Carrara x NMWA DBs. The Armoury guys in particular are great.

Hey, thanks smittycl, I'm doing well myself. Just keeping close tabs on the people receiving cancer treatment from me.

Enjoy! Im a bit envious.

I was in the fence about that show, but the fam had a scheduling conflict.
John Fogerty is playing next Saturday. I saw him at the Anthem last time he was here. Great show.

Ditch the undershirt or go Vin Diesel and just wear a wife beater
Thought it might cool down but it stayed super-hot with slight breeze. Totally should have ditched the tshirt.
