I imagine he's still around with a new account or just reading w/o logging in. I would guess Derek does that too.
Maybe I missed something in the discussion. Michael Anton is what I would call a"Reactionary Political Theorist" who is in the very small "cerebral"part of MAGA:

I would say "faux" cerebral. Just another reactionary with an academic pedigree. Not to be trusted or even tolerated.

I was being charitable. Besides, he is very well-dressed. That must count for something in these precincts. After all, Count Ciano, the notable Fascist, was also
considered well dressed:

I used to give people credit for being well-dressed, but as I grow older, not so much. People can be extremely well dressed, and still be utter sh*theads.

I don’t buy it. I liked Anton’s book the Suit but that’s about it. He’s vile and just because he can pair a tie with a suit makes no difference.

The Duke of Windsor was just an attention-seeking asshole and, by the way, a traitor to his country. Some things just can’t be overlooked or wished away.

Never read The Suit but read "The Prince". I agree with you on the Duke of Windsor. Personally, I always preferred "The Duke of Earl"

What did Michael do / say that makes you compare him to a nazi supporter?

Not to be a dick or an elitist here, but is Manton's "pedigree" even all that impressive? Honestly Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, and Ron Desantis all seem to have shinier ivy league credentials. Not saying they should be trusted or tolerated either.

"The Duke of Prunes" is the only true duke.

"The cheese I have for you, my dear, is real, and very new!"
