Yes menswear struggling in Paris. The don´t even sell it at the St Germain store anymore. Used to be upstairs but no more. And at Le Bon Marché meager selection. The latest collections just not good enough for Paris style.

I've completely drifted away from this brand. It's just not for me. I've somehow transmogrified into someone who buys a lot of erd. If anyone has any interesting pieces they're looking to offload dm me.

Some incredible fits recently in this thread though, well done.

My understanding is that Men’s accounts for less than 10 percent of revenue, and they are happy with this.

It’s Hedi’s playground and I’m probably one of the few that actually enjoyed all the collections starting with CC. And I was an avid SL buyer during Hedi.

But for Celine, no need to change the formula. 2.5B from 500M in 5 years is nothing to sneeze at.

What are YSL's revenues? I was in the YSL shop in Manhattan too and it was modestly busy. Of the three I visited, Dior was the busiest but not the coolest, Celine was very busy and extremely cool vibe, artsiest, YSL seemed dead upstairs for menswear but downstairs was doing well. The SA there (YSL) told me that there too that Vac has been a hit with womenswear but not menswear. Not that too surprising!!

I’ve noticed the Rodeo store has been pretty busy every time I’ve gone recently. Though I’ll echo the sentiment that the interest is almost entirely womenswear and bags. Spare a few times I usually have the menswear area to myself.

Any opinion about these new skinny jeans arrived on Mr Porter? I only have the classic black skinny jeans and I still don’t know what would be the second jeans better for me. If that or the vintage washed black as black is my favorite color however.

I believe YSL reported they are now 3B? 1.5B before Hedi left but I need to confirm. I saw that on BOF as well. But I do know it’s predominantly women

And I would appreciate also an opinion about one of these 3 belts. The new western lizard printed, the croco printed or the previous season real watersnake belt (photos of the last belt received from France boutique).
I still don’t have a Celine belt actually.
Thank you.

I like the watersnake belt
I also hesitated to pick it up since I dont own a nice brown belt but I’m afraid of how fragile it will be (I own the black lizard printed one and the leather cracked after a few months of use)

The new python western is also nice but the western belt is a classic style from celine at this point

Yes, I already ordered the brown watersnake and returned cause noticed the same problem. You have use it very careful. I noticed that a very little piece of watersnake leather was already gone off - maybe a lot of customers tried it since the unique piece of size 85 is available from months - but I still like it very much. So the first lizard printed western belt is also so fragile? And what do you think of 2.5 cm crocodile printed one?

This jacket becomes more tempting everytime I see a fit pic with it.

Is it crazy to consider the corduroy teddy if I already have the SLP black & white teddy?
No, I’m my eyes they’re similar ideas executed in different ways. I’d own both + the western teddy if I wasn’t poor 😿,
For now my DH aw05 varsity will have to do.

menswear is still struggling in Paris.
They don’t even carry menswear at my local boutique 😔

I really liked their newest collection. Mostly been buying Hedi Dior as of late with a few Celine piece here & there.

Is it crazy to consider the corduroy teddy if I already have the SLP black & white teddy? The thing I like about the Celine version is corduroy is strangely comfortable, the collar is a bit dressier, and I much prefer the single to the dual leather strips on the shoulder. That said, it's so very similar!

I quite like that teddy. I need to try it on, as well as the SLP teddy. I think it'd be worth getting for you based on the pics. I recall you said the SLP teddy feels a bit much these days. The Celine seems like it may work better.

I think YSL hit $3 billion in 2022. Quite a far cry from where they were just before Hedi, around $300 million from what I read. Hedi left them in the $1-1.5 billion range like someone mentioned.

I love Vac's womenswear. I do see menswear pieces I like, but not like Hedi when I could look at the runway and see numerous pieces I'd like. Alas, I wasn't interested in fashion then and was still in school.

Robert, absolutely love that last belt, the real water snake belt. looks stunning and timeless somehow. Something that you'd keep in the collection pour toujours. Not really feeling the black one, although it does give me 90s vibes, and the middle one looks somewhat washed out but that might be due to being sandwiched between the other two more standout pieces.
