I feel “Parade” and “La peau nue” fit well as soap.
Those were not surprising to me, and I agree that they would fit well.

Found it a bit strange to smell like “Reptile” coming out of the shower.
I was also initially surprised, but I'm wondering if the peppery bite would register as invigorating.

One thing that I will factor in is that the scent of the soap will passively scent the bathroom and surrounding area, even when not in use. Very different than liquid soap that really only activates when you pump it out.

Fighting… in my wholesome Celine thread? 😿😔😿
Da

I might be in the minority but I like Hedi’s newer stuff, maybe not as much as stuff from the past but I still enjoy what He does for the most part. The only collections I really couldn’t get on board with were Dancing kid & Cosmic Cruiser

Strangely enough. We have Parade Soap in several bathrooms. We don’t actually use it as soap though. We just kind of keep it in the soap dish and once in a while my wife will wash it with her hands and just let it float. Weird AF I know. But it works for us.

And what’s even weirder… I wear nightclubbing all the time and she wears bois dormant and other non Celine fragrances. We don’t “wear” Parade.

Parade always gave me the feeling of an upscale spa type of scent, so it makes sense with how you guys use it. Just another way to incorporate it into your life.

I'm surprised Hedi didn't make a Cologne Française soap. This picture of Serge Gainsbourg is part of the mood board for Cologne Française.

So weird… that was what we asked for first and they said “they will come out with it” but offered up several versions including parade. CF wasnt available at the time.

But CF to me is perfect to me. I’ve worn it and we both thought it would make a great soap and for us a great incense burner. You know that’s coming next if they haven’t done it already

I took pictures of my ex-gf sitting in a bath underneath a giant print of this Gainsbourg picture in a room of Le Très Particulier hotel in Paris. Will post a couple later if anyone is into huge knockers. We can’t just be staring at skinny ties and candles all day, am I right?

I respect that but no way in hell am I spending $600+ on sneakers that will only two years. I could wear them b*tches everyday and still expect them to last longer. My SL Skates and SS16 SL37's lasted well over 3 years for me and I wore them nearly everyday.
Reasonable.

Just to be clear that "over two years" that I mentioned is just the time span after which I decided to sell them for multiple reasons. They weren't ruined or anything and were at least in a good enough state for the next guy to be happy buying them. Those shoes got a LOT of wear.

Yeah the quality wasn't wonderful but I'm sure I could've added some more years if I really wanted to.

Hey, can you just dm me the pics of this woman with huge knockers, I've always been a big Serge Gainsbourg fan

Yeah, I feel like, with regard to any serious criterion that one could invoke, I got massively ripped off in buying these sneakers. However, I've been a Slimane head for over ten years now, and I'm bloody desperate to pick up some new stuff. I don't wear sneakers all that much (in fact, so far, I think I've only worn these Celines twice to go work out), so I'm pretty certain they'll last quite a while. I feel like they're a little bit nicer than the Common Projects that I own

I was initially anxious about the branding on them, since I've never liked wearing brand logos--but think the branding on these is quite subtle, and in no way out of the ordinary for sneakers.

Does anyone know if this is just calf w/lizard embossing or real lizard?
To me, that looks like it's embossed. Goes well with teh theme of this brand cock-blocking us

The most serious criterion is whether or not you enjoy it.

The same products will become more expensive next year, and it isn't due to inflation. For example, the perfumes initially cost $220 for 100 mL, and $320 for 200 mL back in 2019. Right now in 2023, it costs $280 for 100 mL, and $410 for 200 mL. Same exact product. If you already know you want something, picking it up sooner is going to save you money.

If we keep it 100, pricing is arbitrary for luxury products. It costs the brand nowhere even close, in terms of the cost of raw materials and manufacturing, to produce the perfume. That said, how much it costs the company to produce something shouldn't be the main criterion one uses to judge the price of the product. You don't judge the price of a painting primarily based on the cost of the paint or the canvas, after all.

Handled the black leather Isaac boots in-store. Plastic-y lightweight leather, thin sole, awkwardly rounded toe shape, chintzy hardware; pass.
