Mike, what a great 'Store Spotlight' post! Really enjoyed reading about AoC's history with Alden shoes!

I have only bought one pair of Aldens from Adam, a pair of Ravello LWBs, but it was a pleasure doing business with him and I'm looking forward to buying more shoes from AoC. Adam is super knowledgeable, and I can't wait to learn more about the new AoC make-up line.
The article also reaffirmed one thing I've heard mentioned many times before, and something I really value - Adam's thorough inspection of the shoes and boots before they're sent out. Can't praise that enough.

Wow, I am glad to hear that you all enjoyed it! I cant thank Adam enough for helping me collect all the facts as I put together this story. He was very gracious in helping me and it wouldn't have been nearly this good without his help.

We may work on some more detailed AoC articles to certain elements of the story and special makeups he did in the future.

But I will also try and cover most of the various Alden retailers over time to give everyone more of an understanding of what they are about. Also it's an idea that gives me a good pile of stories to research and write up...

I would like to announce a new series of posts on my blog called "Store Spotlights". The intent of these posts are to give everyone a stronger sense of what each store is about. I realize that not everyone “gets” to travel all over for work and many Alden fans have not actually been to a majority of the stores. I hope to make you feel like you have visited the store in person to understand what each store is about and some thoughts about my experiences visiting each store. I have thought long and hard about which store that I wanted to feature first and have decided to start this series with Alden of Carmel.

Reached out to Yenni on Saturday fully expecting that she would not have my size in stock. Hard to believe that she completed the order on Saturday afternoon from one coast and I received them on Monday at the opposite coast. She is truly a pleasure to deal with.
