Main flaw seems to be this dye splotch on the shaft of the right boot. Doesn't bother me enough to return - what do y'all think?

I doubt I would return that as a first. Great looking boots!

+1, I would keep them and enjoy them. The location as another alludes to is high and likely out of sight. If you want Black Boots, send them back to Alden for a re-dye.
